Water Contamination: BEFORE, the stepwell suffered from sewage ingress and poor water quality. NOW, sewage has been diverted to appropriate lines, and fish were introduced to naturally maintain the water quality.

Structural Integrity: BEFORE, the stonework, ornate arches, and stucco medallions were damaged and deteriorating. NOW, they have been meticulously repaired by trained artisans using authentic traditional materials like lime plaster and mortar.

Water Storage Capacity: BEFORE, the main tank was heavily silted and clogged with accumulated debris. NOW, the well has been completely desilted and cleaned, restoring its original capacity to capture rainwater and recharge local groundwater.
