First Monthly PLFS Bulletin Released by MoSPI

What Happened

The National Statistics Office (NSO) under MoSPI released the first-ever monthly Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) bulletin for April 2025. This new format covers both urban and rural areas, replacing the previous system of quarterly urban-only reports. The inaugural data showed a national unemployment rate of 5.1% based on Current Weekly Status.
