MSP Revision for Copra 2026
What Happened
In December 2025, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for copra for the 2026 season. The MSP was raised to ₹12,027 per quintal for milling copra and ₹12,500 per quintal for ball copra. NAFED and NCCF will continue to act as the Central Nodal Agencies for its procurement.
Why It Matters
This revision fulfills the government's mandate to provide farmers a minimum return of 1.5 times the all-India weighted average cost of production, directly ensuring income security for coconut growers.
